Merry Christmas 2007

 

We are celebrating the holidays in sunny Florida and we found Santa at the mall. Leah was soooo excited to see him and as you can see by her face, not a drop of fear. She was all smiles and wishes everybody Merry Christmas. Christopher was also excited to see Santa and proudly sat right on his lap. This is a picture of a picture and the shot is great with everyone looking the right way and smiling.

We pray when Leah is old enough to understand her adoption story we are able to find the words to instill feelings of love and respect for the difficult decision her biological mother had to make in givng her up. Not a laugh or a smile or a milestone goes by that I do not think, pray for and thank the women who gave my precious daughter life. This video is so touching because the artist is an adoptee. I pray for all women who face difficult decisions that they choose the miracle of life......

On Oct 6, 2006 Leah became an American citizen as we touched down at JFK. I was finally able to allow myself to believe I had a daughter. After all we had experienced on this journey I will never forget this memorable day. These photos show what the difference a year made in the life of our beautiful daughter.

Ah the blow dryer and curling iron

I did learn hair in the mouth is uchy. Now the finishing touches. Blow dry and curling iron. Not that I need more curls but this is really fun.
