Flights Rebooked

We rebooked the flights and are now officially (well as official as possible) scheduled to leave for Kazakhstan on July 18th. On the bright side Christopher will now be able to attend the moving up ceremony at school tomorrow and play in the last Little League baseball game of this season this Friday. He has also started an adoption journal for his baby sister to share with her when she can understand. We think its kind of neat to write down some of the experiences, expectations, emotions and life lessons he is learning on our way to his baby sister. It will also serve as a reminder to him when she is messing with his stuff. So for now we wait. Please keep us in your prayers.......

Ann,
Thank you for the kind words about Ivan. We are rather smitten I must admit! I hear you about how fast they grow-up. I can hardly believe that he has been home for almost a year. Where has the time gone?

Christopher is really handsome, what great eyes! I know that he will really enjoy meeting his sister and learning about her culture.

Enjoy Ust. It is a great city and the people there are so warm (in their own Russian/Kazakh way).

Ivan and I will certainly add your family to our "Ust" prayer list, although we have prayed for the children there every night since he came home to us.

I am really looking forward to following your adoption adventure from the States. My husband and I kept a very detailed private journal while we were there and we are planning to reread it throughout July as we celebrate our one year mark with Ivan. It was exhausting trying to journal every day, but in retrospect it was the most wonderful thing that we did for ourselves and Ivan.

Take care and God Bless you all,
Charlotte
